Nethermind switches cross-chain infrastructure from LayerZero to Chainlink and joins as node operator

Ethereum infrastructure provider Nethermind has joined the Chainlink network as a node operator and development partner, according to Crypto Briefing. The move is positioned around improving cross-chain security and reliability, with Nethermind supporting Chainlink-related services ^[1].

Multiple outlets report that Nethermind exited its LayerZero verifier role and transitioned its cross-chain infrastructure to Chainlink. Crypto.news says Nethermind ended its LayerZero verifier operations and migrated cross-chain work to Chainlink, while Blockonomi and Moneycheck similarly describe the shift away from LayerZero and toward Chainlink ^{[2] [3] [4]}.

Blockonomi adds that, as part of the transition, Nethermind is set to provide support for Chainlink’s CCIP and Data Feeds, and that it discontinued its decentralized verifier operations on LayerZero. Bankless also frames the change as another LayerZero verifier joining Chainlink ^{[3] [5]}.

Nethermind’s reported switch from LayerZero to Chainlink includes ending its LayerZero verifier role and taking on Chainlink node operator responsibilities focused on cross-chain infrastructure such as CCIP and Data Feeds ^{[2] [3]}.
