Bitcoin closes above 50-week moving average for first time in 45 weeks, analysts cite bear-market end
Bitcoin has topped its 50-week moving average for the first time in 45 weeks, according to CoinDesk and other market reports [1] [2] [3].
Cointelegraph reported that analysts view the move above the 50-week moving average as historically marking the end of bear markets, but said one weekly close is not enough to confirm a new bull run [2].
Blockonomi reported that BTC finished the week above its 50-week moving average for the first time in 45 weeks and said Galaxy research found that 11 out of 13 historical weekly reclaims of this metric did not result in new cycle lows [4].
