Metaplanet targets 85%–90% Bitcoin allocation as Q3 net buys lift holdings to 44,000 BTC
Metaplanet revised its capital allocation policy to target 85%–90% of total assets in Bitcoin and 10%–15% in strategic investments, including mergers and acquisitions, income-generating securities and asset-management strategies. The company held 44,000 BTC as of Sept. 30, according to its Oct. 5 disclosure [1] [2].
Metaplanet reported a net addition of 1,000 BTC in the third quarter after selling 10,000 BTC and purchasing 11,000 BTC. It also introduced a Net Interest Income Strategy to generate recurring cash flow that can support further Bitcoin accumulation [1] [3] [4].
The revised policy says Bitcoin-related borrowings will generally remain below about 10% of Bitcoin net asset value, and that common-stock issuance will be used selectively when the company’s mNAV is above 1.0x [1] [5].
