Robinhood to add yes-or-no event contracts and partner with Crypto.com’s OG prediction markets
Robinhood Markets said it is adding yes-or-no contracts to its trading platform as part of an expansion into prediction markets [1].
Multiple reports say Robinhood is partnering with Crypto.com’s prediction-markets unit OG (OG.com/OG) and will route eligible US retail event-contract volume through OG.com’s CFTC-regulated derivatives exchange and clearing infrastructure, with the rollout beginning September 8 for eligible customers [2].
Robinhood is also reported to take minority stakes in Crypto.com and OG’s prediction-markets business, with one summary describing it as “buying exposure, not control” and noting that investment and routing terms were not disclosed [3].
Another report links the Crypto.com/OG partnership to a reported change in HOOD stock price, stating shares rose about 3.40% to around $126.40 during premarket activity [4].
