CoinEx to wind down exchange operations by Dec. 22 after nearly nine years amid market and compliance pressures
CoinEx announced it will wind down operations after nearly nine years, citing a prolonged crypto-market downturn, shrinking trading volumes and liquidity, and rising regulatory and compliance costs across major jurisdictions [1].
CoinEx said it will stop new registrations and move futures trading to reduce-only mode on Sept. 15, end futures, staking, lending and other non-spot services on Sept. 22, halt all spot trading on Sept. 29, and close withdrawals and the platform on Dec. 22 [1].
Additional reports also said CoinEx’s exchange closure is scheduled for Dec. 22, with users facing a December deadline to withdraw funds [2] [3] [4].
