Bitcoin rebounds toward $78,000 after October losses as Bloomberg strategist warns of broader crypto risks
Bitcoin traded in the upper $70,000s on Nov. 1, with one report placing it near $77,800 and another saying it was approaching $78,000 after last week’s sell-off. The recovery had not erased its weekly losses, according to Bitcoinist [1] [2] [3].
BTC closed October near $77,558, down about 7.3% from its monthly open. BTC Peers described it as Bitcoin’s weakest October since 2014; the outlet said falling U.S. technology stocks and gold added to losses associated with a reported exchange hack [3].
Bloomberg strategist Mike McGlone warned that Bitcoin’s weakness below $80,000 could raise the risk of a broader cryptocurrency market crash [4].
