IOG warns users after its YouTube channel was hijacked to promote a fake Charles Hoskinson giveaway
Input Output Group (IOG) warned users to avoid its official YouTube channel after the channel was reportedly hijacked and used to air a fake Charles Hoskinson giveaway livestream [1] [2].
Cointelegraph reported that the livestream showed a Charles Hoskinson video promising viewers could “double your wealth,” and said the video appeared to have been AI-manipulated [2].
Charles Hoskinson also warned that the IOG YouTube channel had been compromised, telling the community not to trust videos or click links posted there [3].
CryptoPotato reported that Hoskinson said someone hijacked the official Input Output Global (IOG) YouTube channel and advised users accordingly [3].
A separate report from TheCoinrise said IOG stated the compromised channel was impersonating Cardano-related content to lure users into a fake token giveaway [4].
