BitMart Reports Minor Breach Amid Restructuring, Investigates Possible Link to Mercado Bitcoin Attack
BitMart confirmed a security breach on Nov. 2, with its founder describing the incident as minor. The exchange is undergoing a wind-down and restructuring process [1] [2] [3].
BitMart’s preliminary investigation suggested the attackers may be responsible for the recent Mercado Bitcoin hack. Separately, Bitquery traced about $391,000 in outflows, mostly from BitMart-linked wallets, to an address used in that attack [4] [2].
