NEAR Intents pauses cross-chain swaps after $3.8M exploit, gives identified attacker 48 hours to return funds
NEAR Intents general manager Alex Shevchenko said the team had identified the person responsible for a roughly $3.8 million exploit and gave them 48 hours to return the funds [1] [2] [3].
Shevchenko posted three addresses for the return, but none had received funds as of early Oct. 2. NEAR Intents said it had paused cross-chain swaps after tracing the incident to a bug involving its Omni deposit and withdrawal system and smart contract, and said affected users would be reimbursed in full [1] [4].
