CoinDCX denies new breach, says reported $16 million transfers involved previously compromised wallets
CoinDCX co-founder Sumit Gupta denied that the exchange had suffered a new breach, saying the wallets flagged in reports were compromised in July 2025 and that current customer funds were unaffected [1] [2].
The reports followed transfers on October 21 of about 15.99 million USDT and 5,784 TRX from CoinDCX hot wallets and deposit addresses to a single TRON address, with funds later split and sent to deposit addresses at Binance, OKX and Gate, according to Wu Blockchain. Crypto.news reported that investigator ZachXBT questioned CoinDCX’s explanation of the wallet activity [3] [4].
