Zcash developer proposes per-swap viewing keys to limit payment-history exposure in NEAR swaps
Zcash infrastructure developer Zakura has proposed giving each ZEC swap through NEAR Intents a separate viewing key. The design aims to keep a refund address exposed on NEAR’s public chain from revealing a user’s wider Zcash payment history to a potential future quantum attacker [1] [2] [3].
Zakura has published an experimental implementation that gives swap addresses separate incoming viewing keys while retaining the account’s spending authority. Its October 15 release candidate says the key derivation needs review before live addresses are issued [4].
