Sui Foundation to invest $30 million in DATA Network as it migrates to Sui and integrates with Walrus
The Sui Foundation is investing $30 million in DATA Network, which plans to retire its independent blockchain and move the protocol to Sui. The Foundation will become DATA Network’s largest institutional holder, according to Wu Blockchain [1] [2] [3].
DATA Network’s existing token is set to migrate to Sui on a one-for-one basis. The current network will remain operational until migration is complete, and the project said it will publish a detailed timeline before the upgrade. Reports also say the integration will use Walrus for AI data storage [1] [3] [4] [5].
