World launches bank identity suite and Zoom human-verification badges to address deepfakes
World has launched a World ID suite designed for banks and financial firms to address deepfake fraud. Co-founder Alex Blania announced it at the Money20/20 conference on Oct. 18; the package combines three of the project’s existing products, according to Cryptopolitan [1] [2].
World has also made biometric verification badges available to Zoom enterprise users worldwide. The badges are intended to let meeting participants show they have been verified as human, as a check against AI deepfake impersonation [3] [4] [5].
