JPYC raises ¥6B ( $38M ) in Series B to expand regulated yen stablecoin payments with AZ-COM Maruwa

Japan’s registered stablecoin issuer JPYC has secured an extended Series B funding round of ¥6 billion (about $38 million) to expand its regulated yen-stablecoin payment services in Japan. Coindesk reported the round was backed by logistics firm AZ-COM Maruwa and that JPYC’s total raised since November 2021 is $106 million across seven funding rounds ^{[1] [2] [3]}.

The funding is tied to scaling JPYC’s payments and Web3 infrastructure, including plans involving AZ-COM Maruwa for stablecoin settlement applications and broader distribution through commercial partners.
