French committee advances 2027 crypto tax measures on stablecoin conversions, exit tax and 10-year loss relief
The French National Assembly’s Finance Committee approved amendments to the proposed 2027 budget that would tax crypto-to-stablecoin conversions, impose an exit tax on crypto assets, and let investors carry forward crypto losses for up to 10 years. The measures have not yet become law [1] [2] [3] [4].
The committee rejected a proposal to extend the personal wealth tax to digital assets, while measures concerning self-custody wallet declarations and penalties for platforms remained under review [3].
