Reports differ on Standard Chartered’s RLUSD custody launch as collateral integration is planned
Cointelegraph and CoinGape report that Standard Chartered has launched institutional custody for Ripple’s RLUSD on the XRP Ledger. CoinGape says the service is offered through the bank’s DIFC branch in Dubai, which is regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority [1] [2].
The launch status is not consistently characterized: Crypto Briefing describes the RLUSD reports as unconfirmed, while Cointelegraph and CoinGape report the custody service as launched or live [3] [1] [2].
Cointelegraph reports that Standard Chartered plans to let institutional clients use RLUSD as trading collateral; Coinpedia’s headline also reports planned collateral integration with LMAX [1] [4].
