THORChain pauses swaps after reorg bug as co-founder declines to block Binance-linked transactions
THORChain node operators paused swaps involving assets on 10 networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and Tron, after a block-reorganization bug, Cointelegraph reported. Another report noted that coverage differed on how many networks were paused [1] [2].
Separately, the FBI urged THORChain node operators to block transactions linked to the Binance theft. Co-founder Erik Osefsky cited public blockchain data but did not pledge to block transactions; reporting also noted that the protocol’s broad halt controls could interrupt activity for other users [3] [4].
